Evolution of Men’s Wedding Rings
A few years back, men’s wedding rings didn't even exist. Years ago, men did not wear wedding bands. Instead they gave their wives wedding rings, fancy gold bands that might have jewels encrusted on it, but as far as men’s were concerned, there wasn’t any visible notation of marriage.
Nowadays, almost all men adorn wedding rings. Older men, such as those individuals who were born in the 1920's and 1930's, may not necessarily see a reason for wearing a ring, but any man born after the 1940's or so definitely allowed for a gold wedding band to be slipped on his finger.
Men’s wedding rings are typically simple bands fashioned out of pure gold. This is the traditional wedding ring type, both for men and women. But in the last few decades, some slight changes have taken place, and on any given day you might spot some gold men’s wedding rings, and some wedding rings made up of other materials, as well.
